Sayori Shirasaki (白崎 さより Shirasaki Sayori) is the younger sister of Tsugumi Shirasaki while she is a minor character she plays a crucial role in the series because of her being the reason for her sister creating the Shiomi Happy Project.
Appearance[]
Sayori looks similar to her sister, but she is shorter and has pig tails. Due to her sickness, she wears a pink patient uniform while at the hospital. When she was temporarily released, she wore a black dress.
Personality[]
Sayori is a kind girl who possesses high spirit in spite of her illness. Unlike her scatterbrained sister, Sayori is calm, assertive and more intuitive as she was able to deduce that her sister lied about her time in school for her, that her sister liked Kakei and that he was pretending to be her boyfriend.
She possesses a humorous side as shown when she made joking comments about Kakei and Shirasaki's relationship.
History[]
Not much is known about her past, but Sayori was two years younger than her sister. Sayori was soon stricken by an illness and could not attend the same high school as Tsugumi. Wanting to cheer her up, Tsugumi told her sister about her school life which cheered her up but caused Tsugumi to feel guilty that these were just lies. Unknown to Tsugumi, Sayori deduced these were just lies to make up her feel better but she knew her sister had good intentions.
One day, Sayori was visited by her sister and was shown pictures of her friends who were part of her club. Sayori then asks which of the two boys in the club was the one she liked causing her sister to become flustered and causing a picture of Kyōtarō Kakei to land in Sayori's hands. When Tsugumi blushed, this reaction immediately told Sayori that it was him she had a crush on. At another visit, Tsugumi told Sayori that Kakei was her boyfriend and Sayori asked to meet him (while secretly knowing that he wasn't her sister's boyfriend).
Tsugumi fulfilled her promise by bringing Kakei (who willingly decided to help Shirasaki) and Sayori shared with him that her sister talks nonstop about him to the latter's embarrassment. Sayori then asked Kakei if sister was a good girlfriend which he confirms.
Etymology[]
- Sayori's surname Shirasaki means "white" (白) (shira) and "cape, peninsula" (崎) (saki).
