Ikkei Takamine (高峰 一景 Takamine Ikkei) is supporting character in Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai. He is the classmate/friend of Kyōtarō Kakei who joins the Library Club and he used to take karate classes, but he had to quit because of a foot injury.

Appearance[]

Takamine is a teenage boy of average height with light brown hair and blue eyes.

Personality[]

Takamine is a very cheerful person who is up for anything but does seem a little lazy due to some of the hard work the club goes through.

He is shown to be a loyal friend such as when he defended Kyōtarō Kakei from group of angry people in the first episode. He also told the Library club about Kakei's birthday who throw Kakei a party.

Despite his friendship with Kakei, he is comically jealous of the attention Kakei receives from the girls in their club. However, apart of him is actually amused by the drama that the latter receives from the girls' jealously.

History[]

At some point, Takamine took karate lessons but had to quit after receiving a foot injury and though he has recovered he has put that part of his life behind him. Takamine soon attended Shiomi Academy where he met Kyōtarō Kakei who would become his friend, as well as his classmate and the two would be seen together constantly.

After an incident involving Kakei and a female classmate, Takamine joined the library club which became the base for an activity called the Shiomi Happy Project.

While in the club, Takamine enjoyed his time with his new friends and became comically jealous of Kakei for the attention he receives from the girls.

Etymology[]

  • The name Ikkei means "one" (一) (ik) and "scenery" (景) (kei).
  • Ikkei's surname Takamine means "tall, high" (高) (taka) and "peak" (峰) (mine).

Trivia[]

  • Takamine is aware that all the girls prefer Kyōtarō Kakei that he is jealous of it, but he is a good friend to the latter and he is pleased the club has a good effect on him.
